This FAQ gives short answers and links to the full guides. If something is broken, start with the Troubleshooting guide.

How do I download Codex?

Go to codexeditor.app and choose your operating system. See Download Codex.

How do I create an account?

Open Codex, choose the registration option, enter a username, email address, and password, then click Register. Passwords must be at least 15 characters and should not contain parts of your username or email. See Initial Setup.

Do I need to be online?

You need internet for first launch extension setup, login, project downloads, sync, AI, and new extension version pins. Local editing can continue offline after the project is available on your device.

Where do I get help?

Use the Troubleshooting guide first so you can collect useful details. If you still need help, post the generated details in Discord.
